Common use of HF Direction Finders within CEPT

The basic idea of the interconnection is to develop for the CEPT a “common data exchange structure” for the technical information (measurement commands and results). All equipment irrespective of the manufacturer, should understand these commands and functions in the same manner. It will be done by the way of “CEPT device drivers” and “Universal Control Software” :

• The “CEPT device driver” for “xxx” DF converts orders and commands between specific manufacturer languages and the “common data exchange structure ” ,

• The “Universal Control Software” (UCS) sends and receives technical information in the “common data exchange structure”, it is managed by the way of “Man Machine Interfaces ” (MMI).
